Redefining Wellness

Moravian Village has a variety of classes and activities for residents. From creative expressions and beading to Circuit Training and Qigong, there’s something for everyone.    But it’s not just about the physical and tangible.  Moravian Village is paving a new path for our residents, one that will enrich their lives through Mind and Body.  As elderly transition through various stages of aging, it’s important to ensure their emotional needs are being met.

Speaking of transitions, we are quickly moving into a population that no longer sees mental health as a stigma.  Caregiver support groups and mindful meditation are just a couple of recent additions, and there is a whole lot more to come.  Our Summer Wellness Series kicks off July 2nd with a program called “Set Your Intentions: A Movement and Self-Care Session”.   It’s led by Sophie Hami, a trained facilitator with experience in infusing creativity and mindfulness into workshops and teachings.

As we head through summer, we’ll be looking at better techniques to help you sleep, how to cope with anxiety and so much more.  The way we heal is as diverse as our population and we want to ensure there is something out there for everyone.  With that said,  It’s safe to say you’ll never walk alone here at Moravian Village.
